Mobile Steps & Mobile Safety Steps

Mobile Steps are used in warehouses and workplaces where access to items or products located at a height is required. Mobile Warehouse Steps provide a safe alternative to static steps and can be moved to different areas easily without becoming an obstruction; as they can be moved to make way for fork lift trucks or to avoid blocking fire exits.

We stock a huge range of mobile steps; each suitable for areas in the workplace and all budgets. For light use, such as in retail stores or schools, Redhill produces a range of two-step mobile steps and wheel-along safety steps which are extremely lightweight and portable yet sturdy enough to reach on top of shelves and cupboards. For industrial applications, such as in warehouses and factories, larger and more robust mobile steps are needed. Many in this category feature steel handrails that run parallel to the steps and platform for added safety and stability, as well as rubber covered treads to provide extra grip underfoot. Mobile Steps can be used with a platform height of just 50cm, perfect for reaching bookshelves or DIY work; whereas larger variants can provide a platform height of almost 5 metres, ideal for large warehouses where tall racking is used.

Mobile Warehouse Steps

Although Mobile Steps are used across a wide range of industries, they’re most often used within warehouses to safely access items stored on pallet racking or shelving. Mobile Steps are traditionally fitted with a set of castor wheels to the rear and rubber feet to the front. This allows the user to move the ladders easily by removing the weight off the rubber feet so the weight of the safety ladder is transferred to the castor wheels. Similarly, we stock a range of Redhill Mobile Safety Steps which feature a full set of spring-loaded castor wheels. When pressure is applied to the mobile steps, such as a person standing on the bottom step, the castor wheels will retract and allow rubber domes to make contact with the floor for a safe and secure footing.
