Richard joined Parrs in 1992 and was Managing Director by 1994.
From January 2023 Richard will be taking on a new role as Director and handing over the daily operational running of the business to Julie.
Running a company that started trading in the 1880s, means that Richard has a unique set of responsibilities. Collaborative relationships with customers and suppliers are key to Richard’s success. Over Richard’s time as Managing Director, the Company has become one of the Country’s leading experts in Manual Handling equipment.
Julie joined Parrs in August 2000 as a member of the Sales Team, all fresh-faced and very enthusiastic. She came straight from Sixth Form College and saw this as a great opportunity to introduce herself to the working world. From 2002 she took on a purchasing role dealing with products, suppliers, and purchasing stock then in 2004 she progressed to Product Manager within the Marketing Team.
From January 2023 she is taking on the new role as CEO and is ready for the new challenges ahead.
Peter has recently celebrated his 40th year with the company and one of his roles is Contract Management. These play a very important part in our business and Peter has a wealth of experience in this area, managing accounts across various business sectors. These include retail, local councils, and several blue-chip companies.
Peter is currently working with the likes of Halfords, Lyreco, Tesco, PDSA, and Domino's to name but a few.
Having already known the Marketing team for many years before joining Parrs, Rebecca knew what she was letting herself in for. Working as an Account Manager in the packaging and containers industry for over 17 years she has become a professional multi-tasker.
She has now moved over to the Commercial part of the team; with her extensive knowledge, she will be happy to help you with any technical enquiries and costs you require.
Emma joined our Customer Service Team in July 2003 and works closely with the retail and removals sector which includes customers such as Selfridges, Lidl, John Lewis, and Superdrug. Emma specializes in Expresso Sack Trucks and is more than happy to discuss these with you or any queries that you have.
Emma has been a member of the Marketing Team for so long that we forget that she actually began life at Parrs in Customer Services back in 2003.
After two years of assisting customers, Emma was given the opportunity of a new challenge with the role of the digital marketing manager. Today, Emma is responsible for the overall delivery of the strategic, operational, and financial effectiveness of Parrs website along with all other digital communications.
Kristel joined our Customer Services team in January 2019,
she brought with her a wealth of experience and knowledge working with large retailers. Her thirst for product and supplier knowledge combined with a great working attitude has led her to develop into a new role as Assistant Product Manager. Her job is to look out for innovative new products whilst maintaining our existing ranges.

Shin excels in crafting compelling content to elevate PARRS' SEO, managing blogs, articles, product descriptions, and beyond. She ensures flawless, captivating content while strategically monitoring competitors for valuable insights.
Emma joined Parrs in January 2011. Previously she worked for Lifting Technology; a manual handling company run by the bosses’ cousin!
Emma’s job is to balance the books and deal with both sales and purchase ledger. Emma very much enjoys the versatility of the position even though it is sometimes challenging, it can be a very rewarding role when both suppliers and customers alike are looked after and are happy!
Scott joined Parrs in 1992 and has run the warehouse for over 30 years.
Making sure that everything we send out is well packed and on time rests with Scott. He is also responsible for making sure that the warehouse runs smoothly. We import several products and Scott must make sure that everything that comes into our large warehouse is inspected and stored efficiently.
