Our most expensive sack trucks are the cheapest ones we sell.
Ok. So, with headlines like this, a career in advertising is not for me. However there is a serious point here. We have become so obsessed with price that we never consider cost.
In our daily lives, we are always looking to spend the least money; whether it is car insurance, clothes or household products. But a bargain is only a bargain if what we buy for less money does the job just as well as a more expensive product. In most cases it is true that ‘you get what you pay for.’
So what has this got to do with sack trucks? Well its simple really; we bought an Expresso truck for £295 and a similar looking Chinese one for £49, and the Expresso truck cost us significantly less than the Chinese product.
Before you cart me off to the funny farm, let me explain. We purchased the Chinese truck in May 2014 and we purchased the Expresso truck in 1980. The Chinese truck broke last week, the Expresso is still going strong. Therefore the Chinese truck has cost us £8 a week while the Expresso has cost us 1.6 pence a week!
That is the simple reason why Expresso hand trucks are the cheapest trucks we sell.
