Lockers are great for storing everything (not so good for storing people!)

Lockers are brilliant for storing everything you need for the working day. Whether you are at school, work or university, it is good to know that there is a secure place to put your personal belongings while you go off and do all of the important stuff that needs doing.

I want to make an important point here in the spirit of health and safety. Lockers are great for storing things, but they are not so good for storing people. In September 1979, there were some boys at my educational establishment who thought that lockers were a safe and secure place to put new boys on their first day at school.

This is not the case. Lockers are difficult to spend any length of time in. They can be quite dark and claustrophobic. The problems can be compounded if you have a heavy cold and can’t get your handkerchief out of your pocket to blow your nose, meaning that the contents of your nasal cavity soon find their way onto your brand new school blazer. Sneezing may also move the locker and it could fall over into the school corridor outside the classroom where you are supposed to be in a geography lesson with Mr Templeton.

Now, obviously, I don’t know anyone to whom this has happened. But if I did, I would tell them to find Matthew Cole’s white sports shorts, use a brown marker pen liberally on the inside back of them and then hang them up inside-out on his peg in the changing rooms.

Parrs Comparment Lockers are fantastic value and, used correctly, can address all of your daily storage needs.
